Nordica Theatre at Freeport Village

The new Nordica Theatre is sure to provide an exciting evening alternative in Freeport, Maine, where spending a night out at the movies hasn’t been possible in many years. Less than 10,000 people live in Freeport, but with a regional draw from outlying areas there has long been strong interest in bringing a movie theater to the center of town. The only challenge has been…everything. Who would build it? Where? Who would operate it? Most importantly, who would come…

Revere Transit Infrastructure Project Groundbreaking

On September 13th, the second phase of Waterfront Square at Revere Beach kicked off with the groundbreaking of the Transit Infrastructure project.  The Arrowstreet-designed project, part of a public/private partnership between Eurovest Development, the City of Revere, the DCR, and the MBTA,  includes a signature pedestrian bridge symbolizing the City’s commitment to the ongoing redevelopment of historic Revere Beach, recognized as the first public beach in the US.  The public plaza and bridge will directly connect the beach to mass transit and public parking. A Taste of Summer: Limoncello

This past winter I worked on a mixed use retail project, Il Mandarin, located in Sant’Agata li Battiati, on Sicily in Italy.  The currently vacant site for the project was once used as an orchard, and still has hints of its past:  lemon trees and the remains of a stone aqueduct. The project location motivated me to create something that captured the charm and character of this place, inspiring me to experiment with making my own limoncello
