Excel Academy

Arrowstreet helped Excel Academy, a state-wide MCAS leader, create the first school of their growing charter network in East Boston. The design team transformed a historic building into new classrooms for 220 students in grades 5-8. A central, seminar-style break-out room on each floor provides focused opportunities for individual and small group learning. The new entrance lobby and multi-purpose addition create a gathering space that is central to the school’s daily activities, supporting the school’s mission to prepare students to succeed in high school and college.
