I was asked to sit on the jury this past fall for the Boston Society of Architect’s competition for the design of its new space at Atlantic Wharf. The jury reviewed the approximately 20 entries and selected Höweler + Yoon Architecture. The submittals were both wide ranging and also quite impressive in terms of design quality and the firms and individuals who participated. The winning entry solved particularly well the design challenge of making a meaningful connection between the street level and most of the space, which is located on the second floor.
